"BennyhOFF" the Market

As young girls we often fantasize about our weddings, the flowers, the friends we would have in it, our future dream husband, and of course the dress! When we are younger things like weddings seem so far away, until one day you wake up and there you are sitting by a big window getting your hair and makeup done. These moments in our life sneak up on us and we come to realize we are on our way to forever. That's what Quinn and Blake are; forever.

I met Quinn when I was in middle school through through my cousin Brittany. It was around this time I had gotten my first camera so I was photographing anyone and anything. One summer on the beach while taking photos we were joking around about the future and weddings. Low and behold the idea of shooting little Quinn's future wedding came up. Needless to say that years later on the day an email popped up from a not so little anymore Quinn, I was ecstatic! After a few emails back and forth, mostly catching up on each others lives, we set a date for engagement photos where I met her fiance Blake for the first time. From the first moment I saw them together I knew they were soul mates. Their personalities meshed together so effortlessly that photos were a breeze. Their chemistry just radiated through my lens.

Fast forward to their wedding day that was simply perfection and quite frankly another one of my favorites to photograph. From the delicate and perfectly placed beading on her Haley Paige dress to the amazing donuts wall that made their wedding so unique and fun, I knew this was one for the books!

Now we already know that I am a sucker for intimate venues, especially outdoor ceremonies so just know that Blake and Quinn's wedding did not disappoint. Each detail throughout their ceremony and reception was as delicate and beautiful as the appliques on Quinn's Hayley Paige Dress. The soft pink undertones captured the most beautiful light during the golden hour and even throughout the night as they danced for the first time as husband and wife.

I couldn't help but click away as Quinn & Blake were mesmerized by each other the whole night. It was rare that I found myself giving directions or posing them because they had their own natural and fun flow of their own that was completely photogenic.

When it came to the couple's first look, I knew it would be an exciting one and let me tell you I was not wrong! Blake had the most fun and energetic response to seeing his bride that you wouldn't believe moments before she was quietly standing behind him giving him a soft hug to let him know that she was there.

Now I do tend to torture my grooms a bit when they choose to do a first look. How so you ask? Well, I have my brides walk up behind their grooms where I'll have her stand for a few minutes while I snap a few photos. and then I have her wrap her arms around him from behind while he still can't see her. Here, I'll have her say a few words until I can tell her groom is fidgeting with excitement to see his beautiful bride - to - be. That moment, that build up, that is when I tell him to turn around.

This is where her groom can see all of the hard work and planning that has gone into this day, just for this moment. The hair, the makeup, the dress, and the love they have for each other. The tiny details that some may find ridiculous make these moments that much better. From the bride's shoes to the earrings, everything has a purpose and a perfect one at that.

As you can imagine, the rest of the night was a raging party of pure wedding bliss and luckily for me I got to capture it all! I'll never forget the Bennyhoff wedding as it truly was, one for the books!
